10 years imprisonment and N25 million fine punishment hang around the sisters

The sisters, along with their accomplice, are facing a four-count charge of extortion and cyber bullying under Cyber Crimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2015.

And upon conviction under sections 24 and 27, they face a jail term of ten years or N25 million fine, or both.

The court papers (A/203/2016) listed three witnesses – Omoregie Ige, Dapo Balogun and Femi Otedola.

Goddy Osuyi  (senior legal officer) and William Ologun are prosecuting the case, with Inspector Felix Nwachukwu as investigating police officer.

An undertaking by the accused persons and apology to Femi Otedola put the sisters at a disadvantage, making their case easier to establish.
