2 reasons I want my son’s wedding postponed – Taiwo Obasanjo

Ms. Taiwo Obasanjo, estranged wife of former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, listed two reasons why she wants the wedding of her son, Olujowan, and daughter of Chief Kensington Adebutu (Tope), postponed from May 11 and 12, 2017.
The groom’s mother, who filed a suit at Ikeja High Court on Monday, March 27, 2017, wants the wedlock anytime after June 1, 2017, for two reasons:

1. She was not consulted as her former husband and parents of the bride fixed the date of her son’s wedding.
As the groom’s mother, she should have been allowed to participate in major decisions affecting his future.
And in spite of her protests and appeals to Chief Adebutu, mother of the bride (Mrs. Mary Dacosta), the bride (Tope Adebutu) and even her twin (Kenny Martins), no one listened to her.

2. She received prophesies and admonitions that the event should be rescheduled beyond June 1 when Olujowan would turn 34.
That she’s been warned that no elaborate ceremony should be staged before then.

The suit (ID/262FPM/2017), fixed for hearing on April 10, listed Chiefs Obasanjo and Adebutu as respondents.

There was an elaborate introduction on December 17, 2016.
