2019: Yewa aspirants unit towards consensus candidate from Ogun West

Towards ensuring the emergence of a Yewa indigene, as the next governor of the state, aspirants in the Ogun West Senatorial District have agreed to work in unity.
Chairman, Ogun West Elders Council, Chief Ajibola Olagbayi, while addressing news men, after a meeting with Governor Ibikunle Amosun, said the decision followed series of consultations among stakeholders.
According to him, the aspirants have signed a pact, towards achieving this objective, adding that indigenes and groups, hitherto lackadaisical, have started showing interest in the aspiration for a consensus candidate.
He expressed the appreciation of the council to the governor, for his  steadfastness in supporting the Yewa agenda.
This, he stated, has boosted the resolve of stakeholders, towards actualising   the age-long agenda.
Also Speaking, a representative of concerned groups, Mr. Dapo Oke,  disclosed that the Ogun West Consultative Forum, Ogun West Collective and Ogun West Liberation Forum, among others, are all in agreement with the aspiration.
