Music super star, 2Face Idibia is reportedly taking Rumours night club to Lekki, Lagos. Sources said the musician cum investor’s choice location for the luxury lounge is his N400 million Lekki, Lagos duplex he bought in April 2014.
“2Face is currently working on another branch of Rumours night club in Lekki, Lagos. His plan is to take over the industry on the Island, where big players operate. The place would be ready before the end of the year.”
If it is 2Face’s Richmond Gate Estate, Lekki, Lagos property our source is referring, it’s a twin five bedroom luxury apartment built by Haven Homes, a Lagos based-real estate company. It originally had a gym, mini studio, two living rooms, terrace, among other personalized components.
2Baba officially opened the twin duplex few days after ENCOMIUM Weekly exclusively unveiled the multi-million property.
Before the Lekki, Lagos Rumours branch, 2Face and his partner, Dotun Omotoye had launched the lounge in Ikeja GRA, Lagos. They reportedly leased the property housing the rested Lacachette Nite Club sometime in 2012.
And allegedly splashing over N200 million on it, talk-of-the town hospitality facility, Rumours emerged.
Dotun and 2Face would, in less than a year, ‘invade’ Festac Town, 1st Avenue, to be precise, where another Rumours branch now stands tall above other relatively known nite clubs in the neighbourhood.
2Face is also allegedly building a hotel in Festac, a project that has allegedly gulped well over N100 million. The latest information is that the father of seven children and multimillionaire pop star will soon unveil yet another branch of the fast-growing lounge in Lekki, Lagos. But our spirited efforts to confirm this story at different occasions didn’t yield any fruit.
First, ENCOMIUM Weekly contacted 2Face’s manager and CEO of Now Music, Efe Omorogbe on the issue about two weeks ago. Though he said he would get back to us, we didn’t hear from him.
ENCOMIUM Weekly contacted him again on Monday, October 20, 2014, via SMS, which he equally didn’t reply.

Investing over N500 million so far in hospitality business, 2Face’s tall ambition of having Rumours in major cities in Nigeria, South Africa, Europe and the US (as he was quoted in an interview) implies he might well be eyeing a multi-billion naira entertainment empire.
