3 critical lies emerge in Evans’ confessions

Chukwudumeje Onwuamadike, the kidnap kingpin arrested on Saturday, June 10, 2017, is still chirping like a canary.

But more holes are appearing in his confessions. And it is expected as the criminal finds ways to paint more acceptable picture of his exploits and seeks avenues of avoiding the death penalty.
Three critical lies emerged at the weekend:
1. His account that he sustained gunshot wounds in South Africa while peddling drugs has been dismissed.
He was actually shot by his gang members following a disagreement over the sharing formular adopted after robbing a commercial banks in 2006 in Lagos.
Seven members of the gang died as he was apprehended around National Theatre in Iganmu by the Police.
Eventually, a policewoman who claimed Evans was her brother ensured that the case was transferred to Imo state where he was eventually released.
2. He participated in deadly robberies in Lagos in 2005 against his claims that he was in South Africa.
Three banks were robbed by his gang in Alaba area of Lagos as they looted several shops that year.
The loot was traced to a hotel in Okota. The robbers later killed the owner of the hotel.
3. His father, Pa Stephen Onwuamadike has again denied benefiting from his spoils.
He maintained the N3 million and two vehicles tale Evans claimed he gave him are lies.
In an interview with Channels TV, the old man stated his case:
