Three suicide bombers detonated bombs at Istanbul’s Ataturk International airport at around 8 pm (Tuesday, June 28), killing at least 28 people, and injuring 60. Two explosions were said to have rocked the terminal shortly after a brave police officer wrestled one of the crazed attackers with links to ISIS to the ground.
Casualty figures are expected to rise in the coordinated attack with initial reckless shooting from AK-47s. The shooting started at the entrance of the arrival hall as security men prevented the terrorists access. Many of the injured are police officers who confronted the terrorists.
