3 ways Buhari’s death rumour should have been quelled

The widespread rumour of the death of  President Muhammadu Buhari, who is in London (United Kingdom) for a 10-day leave, should have been easily quelled by his media team as more dangerous dimensions are being introduced by mischief makers.

Many are worried about the welfare of the leader of the world’s most populous black nation as fake information fly afield. And the polity is being unnecessary heated by the inaction of those with the responsibility to assure Nigerians all his well.
Since the president is alive and well (may be a little under the weather), here are a few things encomium.ng recommends :
1. There should be a photo session with President Muhammadu Buhari engaged in everyday activities, with a popular newspaper of the day clearly visible with date!
2. An interview with the President by a popular journalist recorded on video, with details  (such as news of the day discussed) and signposted by a leading newspaper  (showing today’s date).
3. An address by President Muhammadu Buhari discussing the rumour, talking about the time and venue of the broadcast. And stating emphatically when he will return!
The deafening silence is a mistake with wide repercussions..
