9 women in Lagos become local government chairpersons

In the 57 local government and local council development areas in Lagos, only 9 women succeeded as chairpersons!

Sworn in on Tuesday, July 25, by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode at Adeyemi Bero Hall in Alausa  (Ikeja), the 9 chairpersons were also joined by 8 women who became Vice chairpersons.

 

Here’s the list of the chairpersons:

  1. Mrs. Funmilayo Akande Mohammed (Apapa/Iganmu LCDA) – First term
  1. Mrs. Medinat Omobolanle Akinyemi-Obe (Coker Aguda LCDA) – Second term
  1. Miss Ramota Adedayo Oseni (Iba LCDA) – Second term
  1. Mrs. Morenike Abosede Adesina-Willams (Igando/Ikotun LCDA) – Second term
  1. Mrs. Ganiat Olajumoke Ademeyin (Ikorodu West LCDA) – Second term
  1. Mrs. Rasheedat Abiodun Adunni (Iru/Victoria LCDA) – First term
  1. Mrs. Rasheedat Omolola Ajala-Essien (Lagos Mainland) – First term
  1. Mrs. Doris Olabisi Adedoja (Mosan Okunola LCDA) – First term
  1. Mrs. Ramotallahi Olanrewaju Akinola-Hassan (Oriade LCDA) – First term
