Abah Folawiyo @75: Here are her 3 greatest lovers

Sisi Abah Folawiyo marks her 75th birthday today (Saturday, July 22, 2017) with special prayers from 4 pm at her Lady Oyinkan Abayomi Drive, Ikoyi (Lagos) residence. The remarkable life of the mother of one son (Segun Awolowo, Jnr) has always been a subject of perpetual fascination as she established herself in Nigeria as a fashion icon to cheer.

Born and raised in Ghana, Sisi Abah (as many call her) is from a lineage of remarkable dress makers. She relocated to Nigeria when her mother married our compatriot.

Her love stories have been one of the most fascinating things about the elegant dame.

Since she relocated to Nigeria, the matron of honour of Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria has had three major whirlwind romances she can never forget.
Here are the 3 greatest loves in the life of the gracious icon as compiled by encomium.ng:
1. Sisi Abah’s sizzling romance with Segun Awolowo, the lawyer son of Chief Obafemi Awolowo was as controversial as it was exciting. The family of the late sage were not exactly comfortable with the relationship.

But Sisi Abah got pregnant, and had a son for the gentleman who died in an accident in 1963 during the treason trial of Chief Awolowo.

The story of that dalliance always elicits tears when it is recounted as son never knew his father.

2. Senior Evangelist Lagun Adesanya married the beautiful Princess in the 70s, and the union was widely discussed in high society.

There was even a praise song by Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey in honour of the lovebirds.

Both were well known socialites as Princess Abah’s Labanella fashion label was at its height during the relationship.

Senior Evangelist Lagun Adesanya still mentioned in an interview that he was very fond of her.

He’s now a senior pastor with Celestial Church of Christ.

3. The hush-hush dalliance with billionaire Alhaji Wahab Iyanda Folawiyo changed Sisi Abah’s life forever.

At the beginning, both denied any romance. But they eventually went ahead to marry in the early 90s.

The late Baba Adinni showered her with everything – and she cries anything she remembers their love story….
