Profingaz was born Paschal Nwaezigwe on February 27, 1988, to a middle class family. He had his primary and secondary education in his home state in Eastern Nigeria, went on to study Information Management technology in Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), obtaining his National Diploma.
This multi talented artiste, who hails from Ideato North in Imo state, Nigeria, is currently signed to Raw Records.
Prior to joining Raw Records, Profingaz had always had a passion for music. He excelled at every point he showcased his talent, to rave reviews from critics and even bagged a few awards along the way.
A talented singer, rapper and song writer, Profingaz started his music career as a song writer cum rapper. He discovered his passion for music very early, developing his talent and started performing at 12. From then on, as a teenager, he spent his spare time whenever he was done with his books, developing his talent and improving his skills.
In 2004, he was recognized in his secondary school and rated the “Best Lyricist”, beating hundreds of students to get the award.
His journey continued with more accolades, winning the SUG “Best Raper on Campus” award in 2010.He still went on to perform at several shows, clubs and other universities, including the Star Mega Jam 2014 hosted by M.I.
This versatile rapper, lyricist and song writer also sings, with his styles ranging from Naija hip hop and highlife to reggae/dancehall.
This quiet bundle of talent aims to connect with people through his songs, using his music as a tool, hoping to change the world, one person at a time. He believes anyone he can make smile, laugh and dance, is one less unhappy person, who temporarily forgets their worries, communicating positivity at the same time.
He is inspired by life lessons and experiences he feels will impact his fans positively. He is in the entertainment industry to make a difference, and impact lives, and hopefully be a source of happiness and inspiration to his fans.
