Across the length and breadth of Nigeria, one of Nigeria’s leading musicians and Crown SABC African Gospel Artiste of the year, Sammie Okposo, recently kick started his revolutionary annual global tour known as the Sammie Okposo Praise Party (SOPP). Having held sold out concerts in Lagos, Benin, Port-Harcourt and Umuahia, it is now the turn of Abuja residents to witness the ground-breaking concert.
Scheduled for July 12, 2015, at the Transforming Church, the Abuja concert will feature other top gospel artistes and talented comedians to knot and unknot the intestines of guests with rib cracking jokes.
The 2015 edition of the SOPP Global Tour started in Lagos on May 1, 2015, at the Grace Gardens Events Centre, with large turnout from large music lovers across the state. The retinue of artistes that performed at the Lagos concert was quite intimidating.
The train later moved to Benin and wowed the dwellers with their outstanding performances. The Benin edition of the gig held on May 30, 2015, to another sold out concert which held at CGMI Unusual Conference Centre featuring talented gospel artistes like Buchi, Eben, Efe Nathan, Tim Godfrey, Victor Atenega, Nikki Laoye, Anny, among others.
The Port-Harcourt edition of the tour held on June 14, 2015, at the Kings Assembly and it featured great acts like Nikki Laoye, Nosa, Tim Godfrey, Nathan, Afy Douglas, Preye Odede, Mercy Chinwo, Dan D Humorous and many others. It was the turn of Umuahia, the Abia State capital to experience mind blowing live performances concert on June 21, 2015. The inspiring and amazing concert which held at the Stream of Joy International was particularly colourful as the main auditorium and the overflow couldn’t contain fans and music lovers.
The SOPP Global Tour is currently the most talked concert among the gospel community and the organisers have kick started plans for the annual Europe and America SOPP Global Tour.
