Ace rapper,  Reminisce reviews 2015,  gushes about his successes

Self-styled Alaga Ibile and dad-of-two, Reminisce has a lot to be thankful for in 2015; his third album, Baba Hafusa released in April 2015, debuted at number 12 on the Billboard World Album Chart – the third Nigerian artiste to achieve it after 2Face and Asa. That’s not all, it also occupied top spot on iTunes World Music Album chart for straight seven days – a phenomenal feat!

The rapper also bagged five nominations at the just-concluded The Headies 2015, winning one for Best Collaboration with “Local Rappers” featuring Olamide and Phyno.

Speaking to ENCOMIUM Weekly on the successes, the Tesojue singer could not hide his delight as such embarrassment of blessings.

How does it feel bagging an award at The Headies for Best Collaboration?

I feel honoured. Being nominated alone is a great one, especially in a very competitive genre such as rap; to then get five nominations isn’t an easy thing. Winning made it more special.

Did you foresee winning the award?

Yes. I knew I was gonna win something, what category I didn’t know. But considering the volume of work I put in, I knew I deserved something.

What do you think gave you the edge, considering it was tight category?

Like I mentioned, the volume of work I put in could only lead to success.

What’s the next step for you?

Put out more music for my fans and also focus on my artistes. I signed a rapper I will be unveiling to you guys soon.

What should your fans expect from you this year?

More music from me and my boys.

How was 2015 for you? The high points and low points?

High points would be the success of my album, appearing on the Billboard charts, the third Nigerian to do so after Asa and 2Face.
