The ex-girlfriend of Canadian-American actor and comedian, Jim Carrey, 53, Cathriona White, 28 is dead.
The Irish make-up artist tragically committed suicide and her body was discovered by two of friends on Monday, September 28, 2015, when they checked on her at her $1.1 million home in Los Angeles, California, USA.
She left a suicide note referring to her break-up from the actor a second time. The same day she also posted a worrying message on Twitter saying she is signing off and even inquired of her followers if she had been a light to them.
It is believed that White died of drug overdose because pills were found near her body.
Shocked and distraught Carrey issued a statement thus: ‘She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled.
‘My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.’
