ADE LEXUS’ ASSASSINATION PLOT LATEST -Prime suspect, BOBBY IBADAN in hiding in the UK ‘He will soon be arrested’

IBADAN, Oyo State-based hotelier, Mr. Adebayo Orekoya, a.k.a Bobby Ibadan, the principal suspect in the plot to assassinate Lagos socialite and top auto dealer, Victor Adelakun, better known as Ade Lexus, is said to be hopping from one place to the other in the United Kingdom at the moment for fear of being arrested by the international police, Interpol, who had reportedly listed him among their wanted suspects.

ENCOMIUM Weekly’s findings revealed that Bobby Ibadan doesn’t have a permanent hideout in the UK right now.  He is said to be moving from one club house to the other while he is still reaching out to his wife, Naa Adole who is monitoring the situation of things for him in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command has maintained that Bobby Ibadan will soon be arrested, no matter where he runs to.  The Command said this on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, while parading the suspected assassins he allegedly sent to kill his former friend, Ade Lexus.

According to the state’s police commissioner, CP Umar Manko, the public is assured of the police getting into the roots of the matter soon.  He, therefore, pledged the maximum co-operation of the command to ensure that Bobby Ibadan is fished out anywhere he may be hiding within or outside the shores of this country. Not only that, he will also be made to face the full wrath of the law.

“The gang was sent to assassinate.  They came to Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos to meet their victim, Ade Lexus, and we got the information and arrested them.  They have confessed that they were given N140,000 as mobilization fee by one Orekoya Adebayo a.k.a Bobby Ibadan.  Their sender has not been arrested but we assure you we will get him soon.”

However, the gang leader, 27 year-old Ibrahim claimed they only came to kidnap the Lagos socialite, and they were promised N300,000.  “We came only to kidnap Ade Lexus and we were promised N300,000.  We went to the night club simply to enjoy ourselves.  We were given N140,000 as part payment to kidnap the man.  Orekoya told us that Ade Lexus snatched his wife and that he was also after his life.  He didn’t  send us to kill him, and promised to pay us N300,000 after doing the job.”

On Thursday, June 5, 2014, ENCOMIUM Weekly got across to Ade Lexus on the development, and he told us that the ultimate thing right now is to get Bobby Ibadan arrested.

“The suspects were paraded by the police on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.  I mean those that Bobby Ibadan sent to kill me.  What remains now is to get Bobby Ibadan himself arrested.  It’s then I will be very happy.  I want him arrested so that he can tell the public why he is after my life.  I learnt he has a bunker in his house in Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State where he keeps whoever falls victim of his dastardly act.  That was his plan for me, but God didn’t allow that to materialize.

“Now, he can’t stay in one place even as he has run to the UK.  But I still believe he will be arrested soon, now that the International Police are also involved in his search.  I would be very happy to see him arrested.”

We also spoke to the Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Ngozi Braide on the latest about the case.  She also corroborated what the CP said, maintaining that the search for Bobby Ibadan has not stopped.

“The arrested suspects in connection with the case were paraded on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, by the Commissioner of Police. Our investigation still continues.  We have not relented on our efforts to fish out the mastermind of the crime, Bobby Ibadan.  I assure you, he will soon be arrested and charged to court.”

On Saturday, May 10, 2014, the three suspected assassins – Ibrahim, Olanrewaju and one other were arrested by men of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos State command.  They have since confessed to have been sent by Bobby Ibadan to kill Ade Lexus.
