AFRIMA entry submission closes July 2017

AFRIMA 2017 is underway as African superstars and upcoming artistes are flooding the AFRIMA website with submitted works to stand a chance of winning the 23.9 carat gold-plated AFRIMA trophy and rule the continent.

The All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA 2017 entries is open for Artistes, Songwriters, Music/Entertainment Journalists, Video Directors, Music Producers, and DJs from across the African Continent and Diaspora. AFRIMA awards is celebrating excellence in musical artistry in Africa and the Diaspora, featuring 33 categories across the five regions of Africa and music genre. Thereafter will be the arrival of the 13-man jury of AFRIMA whose members are drawn from the 5 regions of Africa (two each from the Northern Africa, Southern African, Eastern Africa, Western Africa and Central Africa) and one African each representing the Diaspora –Europe and North Africa and a representative of the African Union. The jury’s role is to screen and categorise the submitted entries into Regional and Continental nominees making up the 33 award categories.

To achieve this, there will be a two-week adjudication process in August 2017 which includes; a Pre-Screening, Screening and Selection and announcement of nominations. The world media announcement of AFRIMA 2017 nominees will be done, followed by the Public Voting which begins by September. AFRIMA academy voting will follow suit. All these processes will end at the Main Awards Ceremony on November 12 where winners will emerge.

AFRIMA, the biggest music event on the continent, intends to foster peace and unity through instrumentality of music by regularly gathering all lovers of African music and more particularly, the artistes, to produce a world class event to a global audience.
