AISHAT MUSTAPHA MURDER UPDATE: Investigation continues as victims residence remains under lock

The 25 Salaudeen Akano Street, Ogugu GRA, Lagos residence of late Silverbird’s  staff, Aishat Mustapha, who was murdered by a yet to be named assailant on March 14, 2015, is still under lock as police said they are yet to conclude investigation on the dastardly act.

This much ENCOMIUM Weekly can report after our correspondent visited the pretty Auchi, Edo indigene’s residence on Friday, April 3, 2015.

The dry cleaning office and cake shop joined with the house also remain shut.

Our correspondent spoke with a passing neighbour who said to the best of his knowledge the residence remained shut just after the tragic incident.

ENCOMIUM Weekly also met with the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) of the case at the State Criminal Investigative Division (SCID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos.

The IPO, who identified himself simply as Akpan, revealed that investigation into Aishat’s death is still ongoing and the suspect remains in custody.

We pressed further for details, but he turned down our request, saying he is not supposed to speak to us directly.

The Silverbird Cinema staff was laid to rest amid tears on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Atan Cemetery, Yaba, Lagos, reportedly at the insistence of her family.
