AJOMALE RETURNS AS APC CHAIRMAN IN LAGOS STATE

–     As KEMI NELSON emerges women leader

Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale, the Interim Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, has emerged the substantive chairman of the party in the state. The former Commissioner for Special Duties in Lagos emerged the party chairman at the state congress held on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the party’s secretariat, on Acme Road, Ikeja, Lagos.
The Russia trained lawyer turned politician emerged a consensus candidate amongst four others before his candidature was ratified by the over 2000 delegates at the congress. Four others who stepped down for him include, former Minister of State, Mr. Demola Seriki, Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Mr. Oyinlomo Danmola and Mr. Sunny Ajose.
Otunba Henry Ajomale has been the chairman of the party since 2006, when he first emerged the chairman of Action Congress (AC). He was still the chairman of the party when it metamorphosed into Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
Also at the congress, Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Nelson, the former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation emerged the women leader of the party in the state.
She replaced Hon. Mutiat Adetoun Adediran, the former Deputy Speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly, who has been the women leader for some time now.
Other party executive members ratified by the delegates at the congress included Cardinal J. O. Odunmbaku, who is the party’s Deputy Chairman, Chief Funsho Ologunde, Vice Chairman (Lagos West), Alhaji M. A. Garaf, Vice Chairman (Lagos East), Mr. Foud Oki, Vice Chairman (Lagos Central), Hon. Wasiu Eshinlokun Sanni, the State Secretary, Rt. Hon. Bola Badmus-Otuyobi, Assistant Financial Secretary, Engr. Joe Igbokwe, State Publicity Secretary, Barrister Ademola Sadiq, Legal Adviser, Alhaji Abdulahi Enilolobo, the Organizing Secretary and many others.
