+MVP LOUNGE OPENING POSTPONED!
This year’s edition of AY Live is on Easter Sunday (April 20, 2014) at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. And preparations for the musi-comedy show, according to the Host, AY is in top gear. In a phone chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Sunday, April 13, 2014, the brain behind AY Live enumerated efforts he and his team have made to ensure the success of the show touted as the best in the land. He also explained why his newest business interest, MVP Lounge won’t be ready for its earlier planned opening this Easter…
Preparations are in top gear for the Happiness Edition of AY Live which will take place on Easter Sunday. Actually, we have put together a great package for our guests this year and we are using this week to iron out all the remaining things to ensure a great experience for AY Live fans.
What should we expect from AY Live this year?
Without equivocation, I want to enjoin everyone to expect a world-class experience because every aspect of AY Live has been honed with a single desire to enthrall its guests with the best service.
When is it holding and where?
The Happiness Edition of AY Live will hold on April 20, 2014, which is also Easter Sunday and the event will once again hold at the Convention Hall of the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos
Can you please, tell us the artistes that have confirmed they are attending the show?
All our promoted artistes have confirmed their availability for AY Live this year and we are geared for a superb event. We have a selection of A-list musical artistes including Sir Shina Peters, Seyi Shay, Presh, J Martins, Tiwa Savage, Harry Song, Dr Sid, Oritsefemi, Burna Boy, Kcee and Davido. We also have comedians that will put laughter both in the hearts and mouths of guests. These comedians include Osama, Helen Paul, Elenu, Dan D Humorous, Funny Bone, Akpororo, Gordons and I Go Dye.
Now that a big brand like NB Plc has come on board, what difference will it make?
The coming of Nigeria Breweries Plc, through the Maltina brand will define a new experience for fans of the AY Live brand. We are not calling this the Happiness Edition for nothing. We have packaged a potpourri of activities that will make this year’s edition of AY LIVE to define a new vista for the Nigerian comedy concert business. We have also put surprise activities in place for our guests so they should be expecting a lot more than we are currently advertising to enhance the happiness experience we are packaging for them.
Will your lounge, MVP still be unveiled this Easter?
Sadly, we will not be unveiling MVP this Easter as we had planned. This delay is due to logistics challenges resulting from our desire to put together a world-class lounge. The new date will be communicated once we conclude our setup process.
A lot of people want to know more about MVP Lounge?
I know there are a lot of questions out there and all these questions will be answered in due time because MVP will be showcased for all to experience what we are putting together for their enjoyment.
Since MVP won’t be ready this Easter, where is the traditional AY LIVE After Party take place?
Hmmm, that is one of the surprises we have packaged for the show this year. We are keeping that information close to our chest and will announce it to our guests during the event so they should all come prepared for a fun- filled sequence of activities.
