Ambode orders removal of ‘Lagos, My Success Story’ portraits from Lagos streets

If the information getting to us is anything to go by, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State may have ordered the removal of all the portraits of achievers in Lagos state displayed on major roads in the state in commemoration of its  50th anniversary due to barrage of criticism that followed the display.
Many have argued against the exclusion of some prominent Nigerians  who have equally made their success in Lagos.
Of particular note is late Dr. Stella Adadevor of  First Foundation Hospital, Lagos Island, who died in the course of preventing the spread of Ebola disease in state. People also questioned the inclusion of Chief Bode George in the scheme.
A phone call and text message to Mr Steve Ayorinde, the state commissioner for information and strategy, to the reason for the removal of the portraits was not responded to…
