Ambode pays Lagos workers end of year bonus

The Lagos State governor Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the payment  of 30% of basic salary of Lagos State workers as  end of year bonus to all political appointees, civil servants and local government workers in the state.
The approval was contained in a letter signed by the Head of Service (HOS)  Mrs.  Folashade  Adesoye and sent to all Ministries,Departments and Agencies (MDA) in the state on  Monday, December 4, 2017 .
According to the HOS, the bonus is in appreciation of the workers dedication and commitment.
She said the bonus would be paid with the December salary of the workers and that she hopes  the workers will reciprocate the governor’s gesture by being more dedicated and committed to their work.
Prior to the advent of Ambode administration in the state, festive seasons has always been a joyous occasion among the workers because all of them usually go home with ram or turkey or bags of rice and a 1litre of groundnut oil as the case maybe.
But since Ambode came in 2015, all these have stopped.
This may be a way of making the workers to smile again during the yuletide and new year celebrations.
