Ameenat Dalhatu denies crumbling empire of IBB’s in-law ‘We make $30,000 profit per day’

AMEENA Dalhatu-Indimi, daughter of billionaire mogul, Alhaji Mohammed Indimi, has, on behalf of her siblings, rubbished the tale that their father’s business empire, Oriental Energy Resources Limited, United Kingdom, has crumbled on account of their reckless and wasteful spending.  She added that there is no iota of truth in it.

Speaking with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Saturday, August 29, 2015, Ameena who is the Chief Operating Officer of the company and also doubles as Indimi’s adviser, expressed shock about the tale.  She, however, claimed their stepmother is likely to be the brain behind the wicked rumour.

“I am in the UK right now.  In the first place, how did you get my phone number? Anyway, what you’re saying is not true.  My father’s company is not crumbling.  Or can we say a company turning out over $30,000 (N6,000,000) profit per day is crumbling?  So, that tells you that the story is not true.  I think my stepmother is the one churning out the story.”

ENCOMIUM Weekly’s efforts to also get across to her sister, Rahama, wife of Mohammed Babangida, son of former President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) proved abortive.  But we succeeded in getting across to her husband, Mohammed on Saturday, August 29, 2015, and he declined comment.

“Honestly, I can’t comment because I don’t know much about their operations.”

Meanwhile, tale bearers are insisting things are no longer at ease with billionaire mogul and in-law of former President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), Alhaji Mohammed Indimi whose business empire is said to be collapsing on account of his children’s reckless lifestyles and poor management of resources, but the item on the lips of many now within and outside the Northern part of the country is the rancour the terrible situation is generating within the family circle of the wealthy and influential owner of Oriental Energy Resources Limited, United Kingdom.

According to an impeccable source, the scenario in the billionaire’s family is really giving him sleepless nights.  And accusing fingers, we were told, are being pointed at those handling key positions in the company including Mohammed Babangida’s wife, Rahama, who is a top director, Ahmed Indimi (Marketing Officer), Animat Indimi-Fodio, Company’s legal counsel and Ameena Indimi-Dalhatu.

The source said most of these top office holders withdraw and spend money at will.  The attitude which led to the gradual collapse of the company that was hitherto ranked as one of the major players in the United Kindom-listed independent oil and gas producers, Afren Plc.

“Aside the fact that Babangida’s in-law, Mohammed Indimi’s business is not what it used to be, I learnt there is serious crisis at the moment in his family as well over the misfortune that recently befell the man’s major company, Oriental Energy Resources Limited, where most of his children are directors.

“I learnt the man is planning to recall some of them because of their wasteful spending habit which has really affected the fortunes of the company.  And this may affect Mohammed Babangida’s wife, Rahama, Animat, Ahmed and Ameena who are currently being fingered in the crisis rocking the company and family of Alhaji Mohammed Indimi.  Just of recent, Ahmed was reported to have posted on his Instagram, a bank account balance of $99m.  How else do we now describe a prodigal son?”

“Even the problem Rahama is causing within the family is well noticeable, only that the Babangida’s are managing the situation very well to protect their name and the strong relationship and business ties with the Indimis,” the source concluded.

But all the tales have been denied!
