Amosun commiserates with Aregbesola over mother’s death

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunke Amosun has commiserated with his Osun State counterpart, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, over the death of his mother, Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola.

Amosun, in a statement said the governor’s late mother, popularly called Iya olobi, was a devout Muslim, who dedicated her life to the relentless teaching and zealous practise of the core values of Islam.

“Alhaja Saratu Aregbesola’s death is a big loss, not only to her immediate and extended family members, but also the Islamic community. With her wise counsel, strictly according to Islamic injunctions, she was able to mould those at home and within her community to live righteous lives.

“I therefore urge the family to be consoled by the fact that  she fulfilled her purpose in life through the raising of God-fearing children. Her exceptional humanitarian services also stand as an external testimonial, which her community will forever cherish.

“No doubt, she was a formidable pillar for her son and my brother,  Governor Rauf Aregbesola, in his journey through life, particularly during his political struggles. We all appreciate her sacrifices.

“May Allah Subhanahu Wa Taalah grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and also the departed, Aljanah Fridaos”, Amosun added.
