The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has inaugurated a 10-member Governing Council for the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ijebu Ode.Amosun, after the inauguration, which took place at the conference room of the Governor’s office, in Abeokuta, charged the council members to brace up to the task ahead, saying “appointment like this comes with huge responsibilities and dedication.
“With the array of professionals, which has Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun as pro chancellor and Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu as vice chancellor, I am sure TASUED can only be better for it.”With your wealth of experience, I have no doubt in my mind that you will be able to take decisions that will be in the best interest of the institution and that of the state”, the governor stated.In his acceptance speech, Balogun promised to justify the confidence reposed in the council.While commending previous managements of the institution for providing a good framework for the smooth running of the institution, Balogun assured that the new council would build on it.Other members of the council are Mr. Opeyemi Agbaje, Barr. (Mrs.) Adeola Tayo, Mr. Demola Badejo, Prof. Taiwo Edun, Prof. Julius Niyi Benedict, Brig. Gen. Abayomi Sokeye, Dr. Olugbenga Adeyemi Adeoye, and Prof. Segun Folorunso.
