Android co-founder, Andy Rubin to leave Google

America-based web giant, Google Inc yesterday (Thursday, October 30) announced that co-founder of its Android mobile business, Andy Rubin is leaving the company.

Rubin is to start a company to support startups interested in building technology-hardware products, Google said.

Rubin built Android into a free, open-source software platform now used by most of the world’s largest handset manufacturers, including Samsung Electronics Co Ltd and HTC Corp.
