Another daughter of MAIDEN IBRU marries

LADY Maiden Alex-Ibru, the publisher of Guardian Newspapers, and the widow of Alexander Uruemu Ibru has every reason to be joyous again.

Her second daughter, Omotuvie Alexia Ibru, will be getting married to her long time lover, Maxwell Herbert Leile of Richmond, the United Kingdom.  Their traditional wedding will come up on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at The Grand Marquee, Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos.

Like her elder sister, Anita, Alexia’s prospective husband is a foreigner.  Alexia and her husband-to-be, Maxwell met at Bristol University, Bristol, the United Kingdom, ten years ago, where they started their relationship which has now led to marriage.

As it was in the case of her first daughter (Anita’s marriage to Marcel Kouassigan of Ghana on April 21, 2012), the letter of invitation was written and signed by Lady Maiden Alex Ibru, an indication that the rift between her and her brother in-laws, Senator Felix and Chief Goodie Ibru has not been resolved.

As a matter of fact, the two Ibru brothers were conspicuously absent at the traditional wedding of Anita Alex-Ibru held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Lady Maiden Alex Ibru herself was absent at the wedding of Mr. Goodie Ibru’s son held at the same venue two weeks earlier.

Meanwhile, Lady Maiden Alex Ibru, has not left any stone unturned as to how she wants her guests to dress for the traditional wedding.

As part of the information in the invitation sent out by her, she wants the women to adorn burnt orange scarf on gold lace or burnt orange scarf on burnt orange wrapper and electric blue blouse, and the men to put on gold cap on beige.

She also gave address and GSM phone numbers of where these aso ebi (uniform dress) can be gotten and their prices.
