APC presidential primaries’ final results… Buhari gets 57 % of the votes

The two-day presidential primaries of All Progressives Congress (Wednesday, December 10 and Thursday, December 11,2014 at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos) is being finalized – and at 5:32  p.m, General Muhammadu Buhari won by landslide (with 57.09 % of the votes cast).

Here’s the final result.

(1)    General Muhammadu Buhari – 3,430 votes (57.09 %).

(2)    Alhaji Rabiu Kwakwanso – 974 votes (16.21 %).

(3)    Alhaji Atiku Abubakar – 954 votes (15.87 %).

(4)    Owelle Rochas Okorocha – 624 votes (10.38 %).

(5)    Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah – 10 votes (0.01 %).

Voided votes are 16 (0.26 %).

In all, 6,008 votes are accounted for (accredited delegates). The expected delegates were 7,014.

Gen. Buhari will now face President Goodluck Jonathan (winner of the Peoples Democratic Party’s flagbearer) in February 2015 elections.
