The freezing of the personal account of the governor of Ekiti (Ayodele Fayose) by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has been criticized and welcomed, almost in equal measure, by Nigerians.
Here are some views on the contentious subject:

Problematics like the Fayose/EFCC drama are necessary to push the boundaries of constitutionalism for emerging social dynamics.

Whether I support fayose or Efcc is pointless, all I see is APC effectively getting rid of everything that smells like opposition.

Funny how EFCC has been persecuting only PDP members. Even when PDP held power at the center 😀

Well it is clear that the constitution is supreme to the EFCC act. And I'm sure the EFCC knows this but they still froze Fayose's account.

EFCC will never do such (freeze Fayose's account) without a court order. They know the consequences. They're not fools.

The EFCC is an institution of the State. Ibrahim Magu, PMB, AGF are only turning the commission to a self serving tool. Now gagging Fayose

Fayose wont sue EFCC. He knows his account received monies from ONSA. He wont want to be disgraced.

Why will EFCC freeze Gov Fayose's account? A sitting governor who enjoys immunity? I smell Anarchy

"@Omojuwa: If the EFCC actually need a court order to freeze Fayose's account then freezing it without one is a foul."

Fayose should sue both Zenith Bank and EFCC, it's that simple

You people like arguments. There's no bank that'll freeze an account without a court order. So EFCC definitely has something in court.

Summary of the emerging legal fireworks: 1.Fayose has no immunity from investigation 2. EFCC needs a court order to freeze his accounts.

Those accusing EFCC of wrong doing will still turn back to blame the commission of doing nothing when it noticed the fraudulent transactions
