Assistant G.O., Pastor Obanure for burial on June 30

The remains of Assistant General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Oluwole Obanure – who slumped and died on May 2, 2017, at a wedding – will be buried on Friday, June 30, 2017, in Lagos.

The funeral programme of the 63 year old clergy was released by the church, listing wake keep for Thursday, June 29, at RCCG Youth Centre, Kilometre 46, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway for 4 to 6 pm.
Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, June 30, at RCCG National Headquarters (Throne of Grace) 1 – 4 Redemption Way, Ebute Meta, Lagos, for 10 am.
Interment is at Vaults & Gardens, Ikoyi (Lagos) after the service.
The Kogi born pastor in charge of West African coast was based in Ghana, and attended the wedding of the son of a friend at Redemption Camp in Mowe (Ogun state) when he slumped.
Born on August 6, 1954, he had a Masters degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan  (Oyo). He’s survived by a wife and children.
