At the 3rd Glam & Essence Style Awards & Runway Show

LIGHTS, CAMERA, FASHION!!! The 3rd Glam & Essence Style Awards & Runway Show took center stage on the fashion and style scene on Sunday, November 23, 2014 as the crème de la crème of the society stepped out in exquisite outfits for the much anticipated event. With the theme of the event being glamorous, the A- list guests did not disappoint as they all stunned in their beautiful, glamorous and unique fashion statements by both local and foreign designers.

It was a star-studded event as celebrities such as Grace Egbagbe and daughter, Zemaye, Eunice Efoli, Data Okorodudu, and Alex Ekubo amongst several others made appearances to support the recognition of people who have stood out in the society for their positive impact in their different sectors.

There were runway presentations by top designers such as Ade Bakare, Loisonell Couture, Trish O. Couture, and Ella and Gabby of outfits from their latest collections.

The Special Guest of Honour, First Lady of Lagos State, Dame Abimbola Fashola presented the awards for the Female Game Changers at the event who were Ms. Deola Ade-Ojo, CEO, Deola as Female Game Changer in Fashion Designing;  Mrs. Nike Ogunlesi, CEO, Ruff n Tumble who was awarded Female Game Changer in Children’s Fashion; Female Game Changer in Events and Interior Designing was given to Mrs. Uche Majekodunmi, CEO, Newton & David Company, as well as Ms. Ibinabo Fiberisima, President, Actors Guild of Nigeria who was awarded Female Game Changer in the Movie Sector.

Other awardees include Shomya CEO, Elaine Shobanjo , Alex Ekubo, Rita Dominic, Mrs. Buky Olatunji, Eku Edewor, Mary Charles, CEO, Twinkul; Omotola Sokunbi, CEO, Tokalene; LDA Lanre Da Silva Brand, Ms Ono Bello, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, and Vanguard Allure.

In the Special Recognition Category, Mrs. Quincy Ayodele, Mrs. Violet Hecksher, CEO of Belle Fille; and Mrs Martha Najomo received Lifetime Achievement Awards; and Style Icon of The Year was awarded to Senator Daisy Danjuma.

There was plenty to eat and drink and the guests all had a very enjoyable evening.
