Atorise dismisses serial paternity tale – Set to be named PMAN Vice President

POPULAR gospel artiste, Lanre Teriba, otherwise known as Atorise has dismissed claims that he has fathered another child outside his marriage.

The much sought after singer is not a stranger to controversy as he has been linked with several women in the past.  Rumours also have it that he has children by more than two women.

ENCOMIUM Weekly had a chat with the Ogun born singer on the allegations, with the entertainer dismissive of the stories.

He also revealed that he had been invited by the current president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Mrs. Oluremi Dangaji to assume the role of the first vice president of the association.

How true are stories that you recently had another child outside your marriage?

I don’t listen to such stories because their purpose is mischief and spreading lies. I have decided not to allow such fake stories affect me.  I am happily married and I’m focused on my family as well as my career.

But how true is it that you love women a lot?

As I said, people would stop at nothing to bring you down or destroy you when they see that things are going on very well with you.  I have come a long way in this industry to allow this cheap blackmail you call a story distract me from what is important. I am happily married, so I think that answers your question.

Are you saying you’ve not read these stories that you have become a father again or that they are not true?

Those stories are not true.  I said that before, but I’m not ready to speak more on it because I would rather speak about stories that are true and comment on them, not cooked up stories.

We also heard that you got a new appointment as the PMAN vice president?

That is true.  I was invited to be the First Vice President of PMAN and I’m looking forward to contributing my quota to the development of music in Nigeria.

So, how do you feel about the appointment?

I feel proud that I’m worthy of such a responsibility and I also believe that to whom much is given, much is expected.  So, I look forward to the experience.

What have you been up to music wise?

I’ve been doing what I do best and that is singing.  I’ve been doing shows all over the country and I have my latest album, Halleluyah, which is doing very well in the market.  So, I thank God that career wise, things are going well.  I have a lot of activities lined up this year so my fans should watch out for me as I unveil them when the time is right.
