PRINCE Ademola Adeniji-Adele, a member of All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former Commissioner for Sports, Youth and Social Development in Lagos State, who recently in a paid advertorial in three national newspapers called for people to join his group to save Lagos from the grip of a particular leader (who, though he did not mention his name, many assumed he was referring to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu), has said that his son (Hon. Sultan Adeniji-Adele) and his son-in-law’s (Comrade Ayodele Adewale) reactions or rejoinders to his diatribe on Asiwaju Tinubu, are inconsequential.

The Prince of Lagos, in an exclusive interview with ENCOMIUM Weekly, said the two, rather than address the issues he raised in the paid advertorial were attacking the messenger.

His words, “Those attacking the messenger are inconsequential.  The issue is not about the messenger but about the message.

“Nobody has said the issues I raised are not correct.  Nobody has faulted most of the points I raised in the said newspapers.

“So, those attacking me are not facing the issue.  It is not about me, it is about the state.”

Prince Adeniji-Adele said he was not seeking any political appointment or favour from anybody but he was speaking the minds of 500,000 members of the group as a member of the board of conveners of the group.

He said he was not going to say anything further on the issue but he will refer us to one of the conveners of the group.  He promised to send us the phone number of the convener which he did not send before we went to press.

ENCOMIUM Weekly however, spoke with his son, Hon. Sultan Adeniji-Adele, who is a member of Lagos House of Assembly representing Amuwo-Odofin Constituency 1.

We also spoke with his son-in-law, Comrade Ayodele Adewale, the immediate past chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Council, who is married to one of Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele’s daughters, Princess Zainab Adewale.

The two gentlemen who had earlier wrote rejoinders to dissociate and denounce their father and father-in-law respectively also reacted to his comment that they are inconsequential.
