Attorney General to review Dave Lee Travis’ sentence amid claims it is “unduly lenient”

Veteran DJ, Dave Lee Travis’ three-month suspended sentence for indecently assaulting a young researcher in 1995 has been referred to the Attorney General’s office, amid claims from members of the public that it was “unduly lenient”.

Last Friday (September 26), Travis was sentenced to three months in prison, suspended for two years, by judge Anthony Leonard QC at London’s Southwark Crown Court.
