Autopsy of Dr. Allwell Orji completed, suicide victim buried

Pathologists have completed the autopsy of suicide victim, Dr. Allwell Orji, and handed over the report to Lagos Police Command, encomium.ng was informed this afternoon (Friday, March 31, 2017).

And the remains of the 35 year old who jumped into Lagos lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge on Sunday, March 19, have been secretly buried by his distraught family.
The corpse of the friendly gentleman was recovered by the Marine Police around CMS area of Lagos three clear days (on Wednesday, March 22 ) after he jumped in.
Said to be on his way to the Island, he reportedly received a call and ordered his new driver, Henry Ita, to stop. Claiming he wanted to urinate, he alighted from the Nissan Xtrail jeep  (LND 476 EE), walked to the railings and jumped into the lagoon around 4:45 pm.
A disconsolate Henry Ita was quickly joined by motorists who alerted the Police and emergency services agency.
They soon arrived and commenced a frantic search with the help of fishermen and local divers.
His mother soon joined sympathisers on the bridge. But later, mother and driver were moved to Adeniji Adele Police Station for thorough investigation.
As more details emerged that he worked at Mount Sinai Hospital in Mushin area of Lagos and lived with his mother on Odunukan Street near University of Lagos (in Yaba), tales of serial suicide attempts came up. Dr. Orji was said to have attempted jumping from the balcony of their two-storey building in a suicide attempt four years earlier following his father’s death.
With an unexplained embarrassing medical condition, sources maintained that he was constantly frustrated.
He eventually ended his life tragically on Sunday, March 19. It was his bloated corpse, identified by his brother and driver, that was recovered from the lagoon.
