Avoid Ikorodu Road -Soldiers on rampage

SOLDIERS are disrupting traffic on Ikorodu Road (Lagos) following the death of one of their colleagues riding a motorcycle earlier this morning (Friday, July 4,2014).  The okada was said to have run into a BRT bus, leading to the soldier’s death.

And shortly after the death of the soldier, his colleagues overran Ikorodu Road, damaging BRT buses –and causing gridlock.

Motorists on the axis are apprehensive after spending hours in traffic.

By 10 a.m, one of the BRT buses was reportedly in flames, and several others damaged.

The good people of Lagos have been advised to avoid the axis for now until military authorities recall their men, and calm nerves.

  1. The soldiers are really Above the Law, There currently a ban on Okada rider on Ikorodu road, this is so for the safety of everybody, the incident was avoidable if the soldier had obey simple rules (Bike not allow on Ikorodu) for his own safety and safety of the general public.
