Awolowo: There’s nothing wrong with a sitting statue – but…

The statue of Chief Obafemi Awolowo sitting is not it itself wrong as many world leaders have sculptures in similar mode.

From Abraham Lincoln (the 16th President of the United States of America from March 1861 until he was assassinated on April 15, 1865) to Winston Churchill (Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 – 1945 and 1951 – 1955)  and more, renowned politicians and statesmen have been honoured with monuments where their likeness sat.
What’s wrong with Hamzat Atta’s interpretation was the dodgy resemblance.
