Baba Ijebu’s wife laughs off N20 million theft tale

‘They just want to rubbish my name’ –Kofoworola Adebutu

Temitope Kofoworola, Baba ijebu, Chief Kessington Adebutu’s youngest wife has laughed off the tale accusing her of stealing the man of means’ N20 million – with her marriage now reportedly in jeopardy.

The Yeye Oge of Iperu and mother of twin boys said the rumour is as wicked as it is silly; that those peddling the tale are only after damaging her reputation.

Friends of the couple whom encomium.ng contacted yesterday (Monday, April 25) told us nothing could be farther from the truth.

‘For your information, ’ one insider told encomium.ng, ‘the couple that is said to be quarrelling just returned from a trip to the United Kingdom. They spent a month in the UK, and only returned on April 15.

‘They are again travelling soon. ’

Another insider admitted: ‘People have been calling her over the N20 million rubbish and she laughs whenever the tale is repeated.

‘Baba Ijebu and Yeye Oge are still as close as 2005 when they married. There’s nothing like that.

‘Baba is taking good care of her. Why would she do such a thing? She has her own business, Koftop on Lagos Island and Surulere where she sells fabrics, shoes and bags.’

The N20 million theft tale recently gained notoriety, claiming that Kofoworola stole the money, threw it to the gateman who eventually vanished. That Baba found out, and he’s threatening to kick her out after her confession.

But her friends have rubbished the rumour, labeling it ill-thought out and stupid.

Temitope Kofoworola studied at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye (Ogun) and she’s almost 40. She married Baba Ijebu, 80, in October 2005. On September 8, 2013, she had twin boys in Germany – and both were christened on September 13, 2013.

Taiwo was named Adetola Oluwaseyi Akanbi and Kehinde, Adebukola Oluwaseun Akanji.

Before her marriage, the billionaire lotto king, Chief Kessington Adebutu had been married at least twice.
