Baby Ademurewa’s death update! The hospital is not willing to apologize, father quips

Seven month old baby, Ademurewa Gbadeyan, who passed on at Ayodele Medical Centre on Saturday, February 6, 2016, after he was admitted for three hours was buried on Saturday, March 5, 2016. After the misunderstanding between Ademurewa’s father, Bayo Gbadeyan and the management of Ayodele Medical Centre, Bayo concluded that it was time to accept his fate and bury the baby.

ENCOMIUM Weekly spoke to Bayo Gbadeyan on Friday, March 4, 2016…

Good afternoon, Sir. We condole with you once more…

Thank you.

Have you collected the remains of your child?

No, I will do that tomorrow (Saturday, March 5, 2016) and my elder brother will bury him.

Have you settled the case with the Ayodele Medical Centre management, and did they write the apology letter you requested?

Yes, I have settled, but they are not willing to write the apology letter.

Where did the hospital management say they kept the child’s remains?

According to them, they kept him in a morgue.

According to report, the baby (Ademurewa) was taken to Ayodele Medical Centre, Fagba, Lagos, on Saturday, February 6, 2016, for treatment as a result of teething fever, which started days back. He was admitted and they started administering medication and oxygen, but after about three hours of admission, he passed on due to power outbreak and the management couldn’t put on the generator due to electrical problems.

The baby’s father and the management of Ayodele Medical Centre had since been quarrelling. This caused the arrest of the baby’s father by the Ayodele management and the corpse was left at the hospital till they gave it back to the father (Bayo Gbadeyan) on Saturday, March 5, 2016.
