FORMER Bacchus Night Club operator, Louise Priddy has played down her widely reported face off with Obaro Ibru, at Quilox Night Club a week ago.

Louise, who is the face of the closed down club, Bacchus, reportedly had a brawl with Obaro, son of former Oceanic Bank Managing Director, Cecilia Ibru at Shina Peller’s night club, Quilox on Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday, April 19, 2014.  The alleged public altercation earned Louise Priddy sore lips and a fractured hand.

According to a witness, Obaro Ibru, that night had approached the table Louise Priddy and her friends occupied.  He attempted to win their attention but he was ignored.  Witnesses claimed Obaro left the scene only to lay ambush on Louise where he pounced on his victim that night outside the night club.  Sources claimed Obaro had butted Louise and also bit her lips in a reported attempt to forcefully kiss her.  It was the security operatives at the fun place who rescued Louise from Obaro’s grip.

However, when we spoke to Louise Priddy on the issue, she played down the severity of the incident, insisting it never happened at all in spite of all the evidence that she fought Obaro at the club that night.  She denied ever having anything to do with Obaro that night.

“It is not true.  I didn’t fight anybody.  The report is all rubbish,” she told ENCOMIUM Weekly on Sunday, April 20, 2014.

When we probed her further, she said, “Am I not the person they said fought at the club?  And  I am telling you it’s not true.”

A source at the club who doesn’t want to be mentioned said the fracas actually took place that night.  “They fought. She is not telling you the truth.  It was the bouncer who separated the two.”

During the week, Louise Priddy’s picture wearing a bandage on her right hand surfaced online suggesting the light skin socialite actually has a fractured arm.  Again, we put another call through to her on Saturday, April 26, 2014, about the online picture.  She insisted the picture has nothing to do with the subject matter.

“I think I have answered you previously on my position as regards the story?  I did not fight at the club.  The picture you see online has nothing to do with what people are talking about.  It didn’t represent what you are asking me.  I have the right to post any picture with anybody at anytime.  Please, don’t call me again on this topic,” she rounded off.

We couldn’t get Obaro Ibru to comment on the issue. Reports have it that he might have gone low after the public fight to allow the noise that greeted the incident die down.

After the death of her father, Olu Priddy, Louise shut down Bacchus Night Club after over 11 years of operation.  She has since concentrated on her event planning business and her family.  Obaro Ibru, after he was booted out of the defunct Oceanic Bank, took up position at Aero Contractors, one of the commercial airlines in Nigeria.
