The 2014 edition of the Baileys-sponsored Africa International Fashion Week (AIFW) took center stage between December 1 and December 5, 2014 at Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos to thrill fashion lovers to no end.
The five-day fashion extravaganza witnessed exceptional creativity from various African designers and their class vintage creations.
Producer of the festival and foremost beauty queen, Joan Okorodudu expressed her pleasure at Baileys’ involvement with the show. She said: “We are glad to have the backing of world’s no. 1 Irish cream liqueur, Baileys, promoting and supporting women on our platforms of fashion, beauty and creativity.”
Also speaking about the show, Baileys Brand Manager, Udjoh Ufuoma, said that they are proud to be associated with AIFW 2014 in its bid to encourage talents display and creativity.
She said: “We are excited with our partnership with the African International Fashion Week, playing host to global fashion and genuine creativity. The runway featured renowned designers like AY of House Jola (who opened the show); Cote d’ivoire’s Totally Ethnic; Salum Signature from Ghana; Gozel Green; Mani Lopush and Ade Bakare both of Nigeria; South Africa’s Carducci; Afromod, JP Kingdom, Needle Point, Omak, Trish O Couture, Modella B as well as upcoming designers in the fashion industry.
