Balotelli apologizes over ‘racist’ post, FA launch investigation

23A6358300000578-2856711-image-7_1417474262436Following growing criticism, Liverpool and Italy forward Mario Balotelli has apologized for posting a picture online which has been perceived by many to be racist and anti-Semitic.

He tweeted after deleting the picture: “I apologize if I’ve offended anyone. The post was meant to be anti-racist with humour. I now understand that out of context may have the opposite effect. Not all Mexicans have mustaches, not all black people jump high and not all Jewish people love money”.

Meanwhile, the Football Association (FA) have launched an investigation into the matter and have asked Balotelli to comment on his actions.
