Beer may be good for the brain – new study

A new study suggests that an element in beer may be good for the brain.

Scientists – whose results were published this month in Behavioural Brain Research – discovered that an ingredient in beer, xanthohumol, seems to help cognitive function in young mice.

The scientists noted that the dose they gave the mice was quite high. A human would have to drink 2,000 liters of beer a day to equal what the mice consumed.
