Dr. Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi, Chairman, Smile Communications and Group Managing Director of the Obijackson Group, the parent company of Nestoil, Energy Works Technology (EWT) and other companies, is set to marry off his eldest daughter, Engr. Chinazo Isabelle Azudialu-Obiejesi to Dr. Mekam Tochukwu Okoye, on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Our Saviour’s Church at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan (Lagos).
The ceremony, which commences with a church service, will be followed by an elaborate reception at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island. The white wedding is the second phase of the marriage ceremony preceded by the traditional marriage rites in Okija, Anambra State on Saturday, November 12, 2016. The event was attended by dignitaries from far and near, and different walks of life, serving as a laudable testimony to the billionaire’s reach and influence.
With Chinazo’s traditional marriage held at Okija in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State, Dr. Azudialu-Obiejesi (Obijackson) has once again demonstrated his commitment to the development of his hometown and the Igbo culture, which he promotes through the Obijackson Foundation.
Dr. Azudialu-Obiejesi is not only a successful businessman, he is also a philanthropist, committed to socio-economic development of the society. As the Founder of the Obijackson Foundation, the organizer of the ‘Face of Okija’, an annual music and cultural festival targeted at youth empowerment and rejuvenation of the Igbo culture, Dr. Azudialu-Obiejesi is also deeply involved in community development, scholarship award, healthcare provision and welfare programmes for the less privileged in the society.
