The parents of Chukwudumeje Onwuamadike – the billionaire kidnapper arrested on Saturday, June 10, 2017, in Magodo (Lagos) – were well aware of their son’s criminality!His father, Pa Stephen Onwuamadike of Akammili in Umudim area of Nnewi (Anambra state), acknowledged that he knew as far back as 2008 when he last saw him that he was involved in crime. The younger Onwuamadike told his father that he was a drug peddler.
The old man only advised him to pursue legitimate means of livelihood.
He never said he called a family meeting, summoned his ex-wife nor alerted the Police.
He ignored his son, practically left him to his devices as he grew into more dangerous exploits.
The kingpin’s mother, according to him during a confession, is aware that he’s a criminal.
Did she enjoy the spoils of crime? Did she call her ex-husband that their son was walking on the wide boulevard of crime? Did she report to the Police?
Both parents are culpable. They are accessoeies…since they knew their son’s way was not straight, and did nothing tangible to stop it!
