Boko Haram abducts 60 women in Adamawa

Boko Haram insurgents have reportedly abducted up to 60 women from Waga Mangoro and Garta villages in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, despite the ceasefire declaration by the federal government last week. 

According to reports, 40 women were abducted from Waga Mangoro, while 20 were forcibly taken from their homes in Garta on Saturday (October 18). 

A community leader from a neighbouring town to the two attacked towns (Michika), Emmanuel Kwache, while confirming the incident to journalists in Yola  yesterday (October 22), said: “I got the information from villagers in the area that the rampage was still in progress”.
