The Nigerian Army Defence Headquarters has reported that members of the Islamic sect, Boko Haram are looting its armoury. The grades of weapons and name the armoury that have been looted by the insurgents were not mentioned.
Director of Defence Information, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, made the disclosure during his first real-time Twitter chat which held on Sunday night (Sept, 28, 2014).
We are taking measures to ensure that our armouries are secured, he added. He also said the policing of Nigerian borders with other West African neighbours have been repositioned in view of the security threats posed by the Boko Haram insurgents.
