Boko Haram terrorists tried secretly in Lagos, sentenced to 75 years in jail

Three persons were yesterday (September 30), convicted for acts of terrorism and for being members of the notorious terrorist sect, Boko Haram, by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.

The convicts – Ibrahim Usman, Ali Mohammed and Adamu Karumi – who were collectively sentenced to 75 years in jail, were tried secretly along with 14 other suspected members of the sect.

The others were, however, discharged before the conclusion of the trial which began in November 2013; why they were discharged remains unknown.
