Billionaire businesswoman, Hajia Bola Shagaya has denied planning to host any party for Mrs. Aishat Buhari, wife of the winner of the March 28, 2015, Presidential Election (General Muhammadu Buhari).

The woman of means who is close to Dame Patience Jonathan, Nigeria’s First Lady since 2010, washed her hands off the rumour making the rounds in cyberspace.

Speaking with encomium.ng on Friday, April 3, 2015, at 1:44pm, Hajia Shagaya said she had no such intention.

“It’s a lie. They are just trying to tarnish my image. All they’re saying is false, and conjured out of envy”, she told encomium.ng that afternoon.

Sources close to the Kwara born high society lady claimed that people, out of mischief, are out to drag her image in the mud because of her closeness to the First Lady.

News of the purported party planned for Mrs. Aishat Buhari by Hajia Bola Shagaya flooded the internet on Thursday, April 2, 2015.

fsThe rumour was attributed to the London chapter of All Progressives Congress which advised Mrs. Buhari to decline the offer.

There were  no details of the shape and form of the dinner in honour of the ‘in-coming’ First Lady.

And following the revelation, the internet was awash with criticism of Hajia Shagaya, known to be close to late Mrs. Maryam Babangida (wife of General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida who ruled from 1985-1993) and Dame Patience Jonathan (President Goodluck Jonathan’s better half).

Mother of four sons, Hajia Muinat Bola Shagaya, 55, is one Africa’s most foremost businesswomen with hands in many pies – from banking to oil and gas, photography equipment and consumables.
