Bovi, Papy Luwe, Osupa, others delight Ijebu Ode at Glo Laffta Fest

National operator, Globacom, on Sunday night engaged the leading acts in the nation’s comedy and music industries to delight its subscribers at its comedy show, Glo Laffta Fest, held on Sunday night in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

Among artistes who performed at the show were ace comedians, Bovi Ugboma and Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Papy Luwe, Fuji king, Saheed Osupa and fast rising female singer Hadiza Blell, known widely as Di’Ja.

Highly excited subscribers to the network who turned up at the De Prime event centre, venue of the event, expressed gratitude to Globacom for bringing the entertainment show to the city less than two months after it held its music concert, Glo Slide ‘n’ Bounce, in the same town.
A hair salon operator, Funmilayo Ojo, and Tunde Braima, a secondary school leaver, described the show as a highly memorable one. They said it was an evening of fun, dance and laughter and commended Globacom for “rewarding its subscribers with such a fantastic show”.

Before the start of the show, the last episode of Glo-sponsored Dance with Peter, Africa’s biggest dance reality TV show, was screened to the delight of the audience.  They screamed and clapped enthusiastically to appreciate the intricate dance steps of the contestants in the show.
Papy Luwe and another Nollywood comedy act, Bolaji Johnson Amusan known as Mr Latin, performed a drama sketch on the highhandedness of landlords who maltreat their tenants. There were performances by other top comedians such as D Don, Still Ringing,  Bash, Acapella and Seyi Law who ensured guests subscribers had a fun-filled time.

The appearance of Di’Ja on  stage was hugely applauded by the audience who joined her in singing the lyrics of her songs with enthusiasm.  Fuji king, Saheed Osupa, raised the tempo of the show with the full accompaniment of his band to entertain the guests and draw the curtains on the six-hour-long show.

Globacom’s State Manager, Ogun 2, Ijebu Ode, Mr. Akin Adeniyi enjoined  the subscribers to keep on using Glo as the company would continue to delight them at all times.

He also seized the opportunity to educate them on the benefits of Globacom’s latest Sales promo, Free Tomorrow, which daily gives subscribers double the value of credit spent on calls, SMS and data the previous day.
