As part of the new anti-terrorism measures, British airlines will be required to provide more information on passengers to intelligence services.
The aviation package – which allows intelligence agencies better access to air passengers’ information – is among a number of measures expected to be agreed upon by prime minister, David Cameron and deputy, Nick Clegg.
This comes on the heels of late-night coalition talks following home secretary, Theresa May’s declaration on Friday (August 29) that the terror alert was now “severe” and that an attack is “highly likely”.
