The gruesome killing of over 40 people at Nimbo in Uzo- Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State yesterday (Monday, April 25) has continued to evoke solidarity messages around the country, with Nigerians condemning the act.
However, some of the anger directed at the murderous Fulani herdsmen have been diverted to the presidency, which has surprisingly kept mute on the incident.
About seven villages in Nimbo (Nimbo Ngwoko, Ugwuijoro, Ekwuru, Ebor, Enugu Nimbo, Umuome and Ugwuachara) were among the areas attacked, with up to ten residential houses and a church, Christ Holy Church International, aka Odozi Obodo, razed. Vehicles and motorcycles were also destroyed and domestic animals were not spared.
Angry Nigerians have taken to social media, to condemn the act, as well as demand immediate action of the presidency.

For @Mbuhari , charity begins abroad. He was quick to condemn the Belgium massacre but says nothing about his #fulaniherdsmen ‘s atrocities!

One of the reason @NGRPresident is silent on the #FulaniHerdsmen Just like his “Misguided Brothers” they are family. His hands are tied.

I don’t expect @NGRPresident to offend his #Fulanibrothers and deal with the #FulaniHerdsmen

Dear @NGRPresident, If you say vandals will receive the same treatment like BH; do well also to threat #FulaniHerdsmen with ISIS treatment

@obyezeks @Mabuhari his silence is scary? Does it mean consent? Acceptance? Inability to denounce? #fulaniherdsmen https://t.co/Eegs62pO6v

Dear Buhari
1. Nothing embolden crime like silence.
2. Ur silence has encouraged #fulaniherdsmen, not the victims.
Stop this carnage now!
